Wychavon’s Proclamation

Following the passing of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, you are invited to attend a short ceremony to proclaim the new King.

This will be held on Sunday, 11 September at 5pm, to the side of the War Memorial, Sedgeberrow.

The dress code for the event is as follows:

  • Morning dress or dark suit /black tie
  • Uniform/medals with armband
  • Females – mourning rosette, hats optional

The ceremony follows the chain of events in order, immediately following Wychavon’s Proclamation.

This will be one of the first occasions when communities will be able to come together and reflect on this hugely significant moment in our nation’s history when the reign of our longest-serving Monarch came to an end and our new Sovereign formally accedes.
